Crochet Patterns Shawls

What edging goes well with a shawl made with Lion Brand “Homespun” yarn”?
I have seen alot of shawl patterns that use this yarn and thay all use just a basic sc edging.
I have seen alot of “comfort shawls” and ” prayer shawls” made with this same yarn.
this is a really thick yarn, and it is a grey color I am working with.
The contrast color is a purple yarn, same kind, same brand, and I want something more than a single crochet edging!
I plan on pairing this shawl/ wrap with a grey sweater and a purple pair of sweats, that will “tie” the whole outfit together.
Any suggestions? I haven’t seen any really intricate edgings used with this yarn, or anything like it.
Why??
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
Intricate edgings are too heavy for shawl or afghan they’re attached to. I put a lace edging on a Homespun prayer shawl, and it turned out too heavy by far.
The all-purpose edging I like is crocheted: Fasten on 3 sts from a corner. Sc in same st. *Skip 2 sts; 5 dc in the next st. Skip 2 sts; sc in next st.* Continue around the item, repeating from * to * EXCEPT: In the corners, use 7 dc.
